Looking for Alaska by John Green

Miles is obsessed with people’s famous last words.  He voluntarily heads to a boarding school in Alabama in search of what dying poet François Rabelais called The Great Perhaps.  What he finds instead are the Colonel and Alaska, friends who teach him that last words are only the beginning.
